We love this property! We have now rented both the house and apartment on two occassions and can’t recommend them highly enough. The location is excellent, not only just a short walk into the bustling Mevagissey, but also as a springboard to Heligan Gardens, which has a great farm shop, the Eden project, Fowey, Charlestown and more!
The properties are very well equipped and the log burning stove a real bonus at the end of a cold rainy day (we visited in October).
Renting both properties allowed us to have the family with small children in the main house, with grandparents having their own space in the apartment below (away from the noise and excitement!). A real positive for us was that although the accommodation was seperate, we were still able to comfortably dine together, with plenty of space at the table of the main house.
We absolutely recommend this property and hope to be back for a third visit at some point in the future!

Neil – October 2019

Just wanted to thank you for our stay in your lovely house, we had a really lovely time and I am sure will want to come back again soon.

Peter – April 2019

As a large party of 6 adults and 6 children, we stayed in the house and apartment for a week in May and it was absolutely perfect. Both were extremely clean and very well equipped, it really was home from home and they both had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay and to make it comfortable. The location in Mevagissey is perfect, just a couple of mins walk away from the harbour. I would highly recommend the house and/or apartment. Thank you for letting us stay in them!

Kind regards
Katie – May 2018

Just wanted to say we really enjoyed our stay in Mevagissey, your place was great and we loved the area. Hope to see you again next year!

Peter – October 2017

As a family of 6 adults and 4 children we rented both the apartment and house for a week. Grandparents stayed in the apartment with 2 families in the main house. Both homes were very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed from a cafetiere for the grown ups to buckets and spades for the kids. We specially enjoyed sitting on the balcony of an evening, ideal for a drink or meal in the sun.
The car park took our 3 cars easily. From booking the house to leaving everything went smoothly, no problems. The house is in a quiet part of Mevagissey but only 5 minutes walk to the harbour with plenty of places to eat and drink.
All in all highly recommended.

Brian – July 2017

We had such a great time, the house was perfect for the size of our party. It was very clean and so well equipped. We had some good weather too! Thank you so much for letting us use your beautiful house! I can’t recommend the house highly enough.

Liz – May 2017

Thank you for letting us stay in your fabulous house in Mevagissey, it has a lovely homely feel to it and suited our requirements perfectly. We all agreed that we would like to come back and stay again.

Peter and family – May 2017

I just want to say thank you again for the cottage. We had an amazing time, and the cottage was lovely and just what we needed.

Emma – February 2016

Thanks for letting us stay at your holiday home in Mevagissey, we had a great time.  We are so glad you advised us to take the apartment down stairs also, it gave us the extra space for three families to have a good time.  The play room was also a good idea for the kids to be able to make a mess and play on their own while we cooked etc. Our friends from Texas stayed with us, they wanted to visit Cornwall, what better place than Mevagissey with its narrow streets and fishing harbour, lots of pubs and restaurants to visit.  It is also a good base to see the rest of Cornwall too.  They really did see the best of England.  Thanks again Tina I would recommend your holiday home to everyone.

Dave Nutt and families – August 2015

I just wanted to drop you a quick line to thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful and very well equipped cottage. It was great to have so much space and particularly good to have the playroom for the girls to have their own space too. I have no idea where to begin raving about how well equipped the place was! The kitchen had everything and more that was needed; it was great to have a dishwasher, washing machine and the tumble dryer! Having the large dining table was lovely too; it’s only ever Christmas Day when we all sit around a table at the same time but I was able to take a lovely photo of us all there, eating together – the little things meant so much to me. The lounge was great too; we found the recording function on the TV was very useful! Having the double doors open up onto the balcony was perfect, especially as the sun shone through and the balcony was idyllic for early evening relaxation.

Christine – May 2015

What a great place to stay! The apartment is luxurious in its space and how it is equipped. With off road, gated parking you then walk up through a well landscaped garden to the door which opens into a huge open plan, zoned space: nice seating area,TV, very well arranged kitchen and onto a lounge area, another TV. Large bedroom with a wall of windows, and two bathrooms. All you would need for a relaxing week and we will go back. Situated, too, just 5 min from village and quay which has excellent cafés and restaurants and pubs.  Perfect!.

Bob – March 2015

Hi Tina, just to say what a fantastic week we had in the holiday appartment. My sister stayed last year with her family and had such a great time we knew there was only one place we wanted to stay this year. You looked after us so well, great communication before arrival, everything was as arranged and we had a lovely gift pack to welcome us. The appartment is perfectly located for enjoying all the best that there is of Mevagissey and the surrounding area. The layout of the accommodation is great for a young family (son of 3.5), beautifully and thoughtfully furnished with everythingwe couldhave required and well designed. The parking is a real bonus as everything is so easily accessible. There is lots of information to help you decide all the options to explore the surrounding area. The weather was great and Mevagissey and the surrounding area is as ever a fantastic place to explore. This is our 5th year coming to Mevagissey and our first with you and this by far our best holiday we really relaxed here. Our only regret is that we did not have a further week, we didn’t really want to go home! Thank you so much for a fabulous experience and for lookingafter us so well. We will definitely be recommending to friends and in fact I have already passed your website to several people. We loved every minute and can’t wait to come back again soon.

Nicky, Nathan and Owen – Sept 2013

Excellent, well equipped cottage, recommended by my uncle, in a superb fishing village. The kids loved exploring round the harbour and catching crabs and theres a nice walk over the hill to Portmellon where there is a good spot for swimming. Some nice boutique/ gift shops and good pubs. Great base for exploring Cornwall, we did the coast route to Lands end and drove through Falmouth, stopping off for a picnic at St. Michael’s Mount, through Penzance, before arriving at Lands End then through St. Ives and on to Gwithian for some swimming and bodyboarding (theres a surf shop about a mile before Gwithian at the crossroads where you can get cheap wetsuit hire or purchase) – this was a long but very enjoyable day. Other days we went to Harlyn Bay near Padstow, a superb beach for surfing/ bodyboarding with lots of rock-pools for exploring and one was even deep enough to jump off some rocks in to! Afterwards, we went to Padstow for Rick Stein’s fish and chips for a birthday treat – a bit expensive for f n c but a nice treat! We only ate out once in Mevagissey as we got back quite late from our days out but there was lots of choice. We had excellent fish and chips near the harbour and sampled the famously delicious pasties. Overall, a superb place/ base for a family holiday with things to do locally and within easy reach of something for everyone. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Karl – Sept 2013

Accommodation was superb first class, very comfortable with ample room for more people, there was only 4 of us in the end myself and my husband, our 16 year old son and my mother, and her dog. The week started off a bit damp, but the sun eventually came out and it was brilliant, lovely and warm. The little town of Mevagissey was beautiful very quaint and full of character. Lots going on in the town plenty of shops and restaurants and lots more, watching the traffic going through the narrow roads was fascinating to watch while sampling the local brew from the one of many bars. We had an amazing holiday unfortunately it was for only a week and we didn’t get to go to all the places we wanted to. We will defiantly be booking for next year. Thank you Tina for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

Sharon & John, Luton – August 2013

Well, we are now back home. We had a great week in Mevagissey, apart from the weather of course but it didn’t dampen our spirits or stop us from doing anything. In fact, the couple of really wet days meant that we were able to spend some time enjoying your lovely cottage. Thank you so much for letting us stay there, we really felt at home and Samuel (our 2 year old grandson) had lots of fun in the play room and being able to watch his DVDs in his very own space. We will certainly recommend the cottage if we hear of anyone wanting to stay in Cornwall.

Bernice – June 2013

Dear Tina. Just a few lines to express our thanks for the accommodation which you provided at the Mevagissey Cottage last month. The facilities were first class, clean and tidy and also nice and warm to cope with the cold spell we had in May. The Cottage provided us with everything we needed for our stay. The only disappointment was that it was too windy for us to get out fishing for the first two days, although we had excellent fishing for the other three, You must order non windy weather for us next time. We found plenty to do on the two blank days so were not too disappointed. We will certainly be back for future trips.

Jim, M.B.E. – May 2013

Hi Tina. WE MET TONS OF RELATIVES IN ST. AUSTELL! Our stay was amazing- good thing we had the large dining table at the house we filled it with guests (relatives) everyday!!!!! The house was grand. I loved we had our own rooms. I would stay here with the kids if we ever get to make it back over. It was perfect for a big family like mine. Thank you for a lovely accommodation.

Whitney (Idaho USA) – May 2013

Hi Tina. My friends and I have just had the most fantastic weekend at your beautiful apartment in Mevagissey. We were lucky enough to have beautiful sunshine from the moment we arrived until we left! I have been lucky enough to stay before so I knew exactly what to expect. The girls were completely bowled over with the apartment and the fantastic location. We sat out on the decking drinking wine and nibbles and left all our cares at home. We went to the local ship for a super lunch and again in the evening to enjoy the locals singing sea chanty’s. Previously I have take the children and they are constantly nagging me to take them again! I think you have succeeded in capturing a little piece of heaven down there, the beautiful harbour, the lovely shops and friendly people.

Thanks to you guys for the experience!!, Gillian (Bristol) – May 2013

Hi Tina, Thanks for the route directions, they were invaluable. Thanks, also, for the scones, jam and cream for our first taste of Cornish hospitality; it was a welcome surprise. Also a surprise was the well in the main bedroom! Having placed a photo of it on FB one of our Cornish friends queried whether it was actually a well, reminding us of the mining history of the county! We were pleasantly surprised at the level of equipment available in the apartment; the last time we went self-catering we had to buy ourselves some sharp knives before we could cook.

Thank you, once again, for assisting us in spending our holiday in such a relaxing environment, Grace and Andy – Sept 2012

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage and thought the location was great, just a quick walk into the town to all the shops, restaurants and pubs. We found a lovely restaurant in the town the Salamander Fish Restaurant, the owners are very friendly and we has a great meal. Overall we enjoyed Mevigissey and thankfully the weather was kind to us.

Kathy/Gerry – April 2012

I had a great time staying in the apartment this November. Mevagissey had everything I needed, I even found a hot stone massage from Holistic Mermaid which was brilliant, especially after my winter walk. The apartment was warm and very well equipped. I will be visiting again.

Tracy – November 2011

Hi Tina, we enjoyed our stay in the apartment which was spacious and light and airy with comfortable sofas and beds. The fact that we could park outside was a bonus as parking is a premium in Mevagissey and the location was great for walking around the town, nipping to the shops, the harbour or the pub!  We used the apartment as a base for touring all of Cornwall and Mevagissey was one of our favourite spots.

Amanda – October 2011

hello tina we had a great time thank you we didnt want to come home. The cottage was lovely it has every thing you need and more. With just a short walk to the shops and water it was great would love to come again

thanks x fran – October 2011

Hi Tina, just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our stay at the apartment in Mevagissey. We couldn’t have asked for better.Fabulously equipped with everything we needed for our holiday, great bathrooms and beds, and a super garden. Perfect to visit nearby attractions like the magical Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project, and only a short walk to the pretty harbour at Mevagissey, we will certainly be booking again.

Anna and Mark – September 2011

Hi Tina, we had a lovely time thank you,Mevagissy was almost unchanged from the last time we visited almost twenty five years ago the only difference being we could afford to stay in your lovely appartment instead of a tent haha. We fished, visited several local attractions and enjoyed more than a few icecreams but mostly just enjoyed being in a lovely part of the country with our two boys. The appartment was equiped with everything we needed having safe parking and is ideally situated being only a couple of minutes walk to the harbour which we have loved ever since we first visited.

Thank you very much and we will no doubt be booking again in the near future, Peter, Karen and boys – September 2011

Hi Tina, the appartment was fantastic and we had the weather to match!!! It was everything we wanted, well positioned, spacious, well equipped and in a beautiful village. We will certainly visit again and enjoy everything that Mevagissey and Cornwall has to offer.

Many Thanks, Jon – August 2011

Hi Tina, we all had a lovely time staying in the cottage and appartment. The kitchens were well equipped for all our needs. The parking was great and Mevagissey is central for all places to explore.

X   Margaret and family from the Wirral Merseyside – August 2011

Hi Tina, we really enjoyed your lovely apartment in the centre of Mevagissey, it had everything that a family with 2 young kids required for in holiday accomodation. We found it very comfortable, spacious and it also provided a great base to explore the rest of Cornwall. We would definitely return to the apartment again and it is highly recommended to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Peter – August 2011

We had a fabulous time at the cottage. The facilities are fantastic, a real home from home. Weather let us down a little, but didn’t hamper any of our activities. Mevagissey was the perfect spot and will certainly be returning as soon as possible.

Harry – June 2011

We have stayed in the Apartment for the last 4 years and would recommend it to anyone seeking a good base to explore Cornwall and a restful place for the evenings with good eating and drinking places.

Sue – June 2011

Hi Tina, once again we had a lovely holiday in Mevagissey. The cottage is amazing and ideal for a large family. The playroom for the kids is great. Thank you for the cream tea & milk on our arrival. It was much appreciated. The weather could have been better but we love the area so much it certainly did not spoil our holiday at all. We ate out almost every night, mainly at the Fountain Pub in the village. The food is great and very reasonably priced. We would recommend the freshly caught mackerel steaks they were lovely. We hope to return to Meva in the not too distant future.

Thanks again, Jenny & Gordon – June 2011

Thanks for a lovely stay at your cottage over May bank holiday weekend. The house was wonderful, extremely spacious and very well equipped, especially the kitchen. With its superb location allowing us to leave the car behind and take the short walk to the harbour it was everything we hoped it would be. We will be back!!!

Thanks again, Angela & Mark from Newport – May 2011

Hi Tina, we had a lovely weekend in the apartment. It was ideally situated for walks around Mevagissey and for access to the roads into and out of Mevagissey – meaning that you can avoid the busy harbour area. Parking and access to the apartment by car was first class, a great relief after a long drive. However, without a comfortable and well resourced apartment, all of those things would largely be unimportant. As soon as we arrived, we knew immediately we would have a lovely and relaxing week. A high standard apartment indeed.

Thank you very much, Stuart from Pontypridd – May 2011

We thought the cottage was great, with loads of room and very comfortable beds. Parking so close to the village was really handy. You have both done a fantastic job on the restoration. The best family holiday we have ever had. My son loved the games room and has never slept better away from home. Kitchen was extremely well kitted out.

Hugh – February 2011

Hi Tina,  I just wanted to drop you a mail to thank you for our wonderful stay in the cottage.  My family and I really enjoyed our stay and found Mevagissey to be a perfect location. The cottage is beautiful and with all the lovely furnishings and well stocked utilities we really felt at home.  We will certainly look to return at some point in the future.

Many thanks, Matt from Wescliff on Sea – October 2010

We thought the location was excellent and walked down to the pubs on most evenings, (our favourite being The Fountain).  The cottage was thoughtfully equipped and the larder surprisingly well stocked.  The beds cosy and comfy, instant hot water and heating (although this was only required on a couple of evenings).  We had a lovely holiday and the weather was surprisingly good for the last week of September.  The parking space was invaluable.  We couldn’t fault the cottage.

Sue from Woking – October 2010

Hi Tina,  we had a wonderful time in your cottage.  It was very spacious, clean and had absolutely everything you would need for a holiday. The beds were so comfortable too. It’s the first time we’ve stayed in Mevagissey and had parking, which was a big bonus! Thank you for the scones and cream too, which were delicious. It was the first time our son and daughter-in-law had been to Mevagissey and they loved everything about it. It’s great that it only takes minutes to stroll down to the harbour. So, again, thank you so much. We had a great time and hope to visit again soon.

Lesley & family from Somerset – September 2010

Hi Tina,  just a short note to say how lovely the cottage apartment was during our recent stay and thank you for the scones, cream, jam and fresh milk which was awaiting our arrival.  Despite being late in the season, the weather we had was good all week and having the parking space was brilliant both for convenience and for saving money on parking fees in Mevagissey.  The local information was very comprehensive and appliance booklets were useful for operating the many applicances within the apartment.  The only thing that could be improved (in a perfect world), would be a tumble dryer.  When it comes to replacing the existing washing machine, a washer/dryer would add to your really excellent accommodation.  The WiFi strength during our week’s was excellent everytime we used it and meant we could deal with a couple of emergencies that occurred in our business.  Thank you once again for a wonderful week in Mevagissey and should we decide to return to the area we would certainly rent the apartment again.  Should anyone we know be visiting the area, we would most definitely recommend they stay with you.

Regards, Carol and Graham from Thornbury – September 2010

Hi Tina, thanks for the wonderful stay at Mevigassey Holiday Cottage.  Our English cousins were surprised at the size of the house – we could have fitted many more family members in.  We really appreciated your prompt attention to the washing machine (!!) and for the help you gave us during the booking process.  We really liked the private parking and the short walk down to the Harbour – along flat roads rather than down steep steps.  Thanks again for making our Cornwall adventure such fun.  If we make a return visit we will be in touch with you.

From G. Swan, Australia – September 2010

Hi Tina,  THANK YOU for helping to make our holiday such a fantastic one.  There was absolutely no need to have to return your call on arrival as the apartment was absolutely wonderful having everything we could possibly need to make our stay so much more comfortable and relaxing.  We were amazed how central the apartment was to the whole of Mevagissey enabling us to be able to walk around the surrounding area rather than needing the use of the car.  The weather was red hot from start to finish making the views so much more enjoyable to see and enabling use to be able to take maximum advantage of the coast.  The local people were always very polite and helpful whenever we needed to approach them.  We would definitely re-visit Mevagissey and would certainly choose the apartment as our preferred accommodation.  THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN!

From Denice & family from Nottingham – September 2010

We had a fabulous time in your cottage which was in beautiful Mevagissy.  The cottage was large, very clean and in an excellent location.  We took so much with us but found everything from washing up liquid, dish cloths, bin bags and even a wet suit for our young son to use available for us.  Thank you for the Cornish scones on arrival what a lovely touch and well appreciated.  We would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a stay in a clean, spacious place in a great location with some special touches thrown in to make it extra special.
p.s. wonderful comfy beds and duvets, since returning home we have been looking for duvets just like the ones you have in the cottage, where are they from?

From David & Michele – September 2010

For our first time in the Cornwall area, we could not have wished for a better place to stay than Mevagissey. It’s a beautiful place and you cannot help but feel like you are at home. It’s a place you can really fall in love with. The only thing that made this great holiday into an ultra fantastic holiday was the cottage that we stayed in. Thank you Tina for allowing us to have the cottage. It was eveything we wanted. The minute we walked through the door we felt at home. The scones, clotted cream and jam were a great greeting idea. Just what we needed after the long drive. We didn’t want to leave at the end of our week so you can bet your life that we’ll be coming back and will definitely try to get the cottage again. Hopefully it’s not booked up. We’ve taken a lot of happy memories back with us to Lincolnshire. Keep up the great service Tina and Thank you once again.

From Jason, Toni, boys and Janice and Peter – September 2010

Hi, Tina and Alan, I would just like to thank you very much for the lovely cottage that you provided for us, as you know this is the 3rd time we have stayed with you and it never disappoints us, it was a holiday that we all really enjoy, meeting you Alan and the girls as we have in the past 3 years is like meeting some one we have known for years. I would just like to wish you both good luck in your future project and I am sure it will work out.

Lots of love from Barry, Val, Richard, Rosie and not forgetting my little mate Daniel – August 2010

The cottage has everything you could ever want – a real home from home. We stayed with our extended family – but never wanted for space in what is a deceptively spacious house. Location is ideal – only a short walk from the harbour – but far enough away to escape from the hustle and bustle. One special thank you to Tina – who was always quick to reply to any mail or phone queries – and even gave us a quick phone call the day after we arrived to ensure everything was ok

From Charles, Blackpool – July 2010

Hi Tina, we have just spent a week staying in the Mevagissey cottage apartment. It really was a home away from home – large lounge, well equipped kitchen and a lovely garden area to sit out in. The weather was very warm during our stay and a fan in the ‘snug area’ would have been good. With parking being such an issue these days, it was good to be so close to the village centre/harbour that there was no need to drive. We had a lovely relaxing time and have already recommended the accommodation to family and friends. Thanks once again for a wonderful time!

Regards, Wendy & Grant, Cairns, Australia – June 2010

Hi Tina, Just a quick line to say that our short stay in Mevagissey was very much enhanced by the time spent in your lovely apartment. Close enough to the picturesque harbour, but far enough to be enjoying the peaceful tranquillity of the sun terrace. You have clearly put a lot of thought into the place, and its facilities and interior furnishings make it like a home from home, or in some cases a bit of an upgrade even. It was also perfect for our little Lilly scooting around in her walker, and many thanks for the cot and highchair. Loved the holiday and loved the apartment.

Best regards, Sacha, Jane and Lilly… – June 2010

A wonderful apartment in beautiful Mevagissey. We had a fantastic holiday with our 1 year old son, the apartment was great for us all and a perfect base to explore the whole of Cornwall. Great weather, great food and very friendly people. We didn’t want to go home and will be back soon.

From Carl, Fi and Finley – June 2010

Thank you so much for allowing us to have a last minute break in your lovely apartment, I had heard so much about it prior to our visit and it didn’t let us down. The accommodation and location are fantastic, it was especially nice to not have to use the car as there is plenty to do within boat, bus or walking distance. Great restaurants on the doorstep and well kitted out kitchen should you feel the need to cook – we didn’t! Will definitely go back and have recommended to friends.

From Ruth, Staines – May 2010

This was a haven for a week, and the apartment was of such good quality, with everything we could need, including the lovely garden and parking. Mevagissey was splendid with all the restaurants and pubs, and lovely walks and beaches so easily available. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Liz – April 2010

Hi Tina, thanks for a fantastic family Christmas & New Year. Your house has everything you need and more. We really hope to return and after staying in many cottages in Mevagissey yours is one of the best. All the thought that has gone into the house really makes the difference, we will miss the short stroll into the village and all of mevagisseys pleasures.

Peter, Lisa & family – February 2010

Hi Tina, just wanted to say a huge ‘thank you’ for what was a fabulous stay at your holiday apartment last week. The apartment was fabulous and just what we were looking for, it really helped make the holiday. We had great weather so spent most of the time out and about but it was glorious to come home to such a warm, comfortable and welcoming apartment. Many thanks and we are sure we will be back again.

Kind regards, Annette & Louis – November 2009

Hi. Tena and Alan.  Once again I would like to thank you very much for a nice holiday at your garden apartment, as you no we only had one week last year, this year we had to make it two, only downside was the weather was not as good as last year but who cares when you feel so relaxed, keep it up you have got a lovely place what else can one ask.

lots of love from Barry, Val, Richard & Rosie, not forgetting our grandson Daniel – September 2009

Thanks Tina and Alan for a fabulous holiday – it was my second visit to Mevagissey and your apartment is by far the best I’ve stayed in – I hope to return as soon as possible!  I found the location perfectly placed in a quiet area but still near to the shops and harbour.  The terrace/garden was an added bonus – I so enjoyed sitting in the sunshine and could have happily spent hours there with a cup of coffee and my book!  The evenings were equally fab – the star-studded sky was a joy to behold!  Everything (with the exception of a hairdryer!) was provided and of good quality – I particularly appreciated the constant supply of hot water available at any hour on returning from the many beautiful walks in the area.”  All the best to you and your family – you’re very lucky to own such a beautiful property.

Sue – September 2009

Dear Tina – We really enjoyed our holiday in Cornwall. Your apartment was lovely – very spacious and decorated and equipped to a very high standard. It is in a very good location – quiet and a very short walk to the shops, restaurants and harbour and it was wonderful to have the parking place. Your scones were very welcome on our late arrival and it was great to have all the brochures and leaflets on nearby attractions and places of interest. The children really enjoyed themselves and liked their bedroom in the snug. It was an added bonus to have the two bathrooms. We really appreciated all you did for us to make our holiday so memorable, particularly sending directions and information on the church. You certainly went the extra mile! We will certainly recommend your holiday home to family and friends and would return there in the morning!

Best wishes, Gina and Brendan, Co. Louth, Ireland – August 2009

Hi Tina – I cant believe how lucky we were to find your house on a web search. What a fabulous place!! There is absolutely everything that you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday, you’ve obviously put a lot of thought and hard work into it. I would thoroughly recommend you to anyone thats going to Mevagissey on holiday. The weather was great, did you order that for us as well!!

Many thanks for a great time, Bob – July 2009

Hi Tina – just a line to let you know that we were very impressed with the apartment and had a very nice stay. I have posed something on Tripadvisor but as there does not seem to be a category for self-catering apartments I have included it in our review of Mevagissey. The apartment was very well equipped, very well furnished and spacious. In fact there is not much that I can fault. The only niggles were the lighting which was poor in the kitchen area due to the fact that none of the lights under the cupboards worked all week and it would have been very useful to have a hand rail on the lower steps wall which would have helped my husband who is not steady on his feet (and I think anyone who is not so mobile including older visitors and ones with a bit of arthritis like me). Just one last thing it would have been nice to have a local telephone directory (to get numbers for takeaways, taxis and emergency services etc.). Please note these are not complaints but just hopefully helpful suggestions. I will certainly recommend the apartment to friends and family and may well stay again in the future although I may not bring my husband so that I can fully enjoy everything that Mevagissey has to offer.

Kind regards, Lesley and Terry – July 2009

Hi Tina, just to let you know we had a lovely holiday. The weather was beautiful luckily which made it even better. The apartment is lovely-couldn’t have been in a better location for us. Thank you for the “cream tea” you left for us and the bottle of wine. We hope to come again soon probably for 2 weeks next time.

Thanks again, Jenny & Gordon Fryer – June 2009

The Garden Apartment was a perfect base for our week in Mevagissey. Private parking for two cars within a 3 minute walk to the Centre’s numerous Cafes, Bars & Restaurants is pretty much impossible to find – but you supplied it. The accommodation was fitted out to a high standard and we had an extremely comfortable week. We have already recommended you to our family & friends – they are planning a stay in September !

Andy & Hazel – June 2009

Dear Alan & Tina, we loved the house and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It was great that the house was so well presented and kitted out. Everything worked really well for us – great for the kids and adults alike, close to the harbour and shops, parking was a doddle – really loved it, can’t wait to go back, we would certainly recommend it to anyone with children. You guys have worked hard ensuring that everything in the house was so well designed and thought out, just made staying in there so relaxing.

Thanks for making it such a great week for us, Hamish from Bristol – April 2009

Hi Tina, Alan, Molly and Ruby, what a wonderful New Years break we had in your fantastic Garden Apartment at Mevagissey. We found lots of interesting local walks for the family and the apartment was well suited for our dog Maisie.  It offered us everything you could possibly need in a self catering facility and is set out in such a comfortable way that we never felt worried about Maisie damaging any of your new furniture and fittings.  We will definitely be coming back and would love to do a summer break with you in Mevie but are we are also considering about a block booking of the whole building with our friends for the New Year again.  Our lasting memory from the week, and there were lots, will be sat eating freshly cooked fish & chips over looking the harbour after a lovely refreshing walk along the coast catching the sunshine rays on the last day of our holiday – FANTASTIC.

All the best Tracey, Martin, Callum, Erin and our Dog Maisie from Bath – Mail sent 19 January 2009

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Garden Apartment. It is brilliantly located within the town and also for exploring a large area of Cornwall.  Despite staying in the winter when the weather was poor, we still found plenty to do to fill our time.
The apartment is modern, spacious and very well equipped, especially for people with children.  We would definitely recommend it to others.

We had a great stay in Mevagissey, it’s such a lovely town and beautiful harbour. Lot’s of nice restaurants and bars. The accommodation was excellent too. A very spacious and well kept place all to ourselves. We will definately stay there again.

Hi Tina,  thank you again for allowing us to stay in your charming garden apartment. It was luxurious, spacious, graceful, beautifully furnished and completely equipped. We spent the entire first morning sitting on the patio in perfect sunshine, smelling the sea air and drinking in the surroundings. We are now smitten with Mevagissey and your apartment was the perfect place from which to explore. We just loved being able to walk to the pasty shop for cappuchino & scones every morning! We had great weather, the village & coastline were delightful and we can’t wait to go back again.  All the best

Hi Tina, just a quick message to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your Apartment.  It is a really nice apartment very well equipped with everything you need.  Although we made the best of the weather it didnt really stop us doing anything.  We enjoyed trying the different restaurants and sampled some really good food.  We made a decision as you know to cut short the holiday as the weather forecast was really bad for the weekend and we didnt feel like staying in the pouring rain.  I would certainly like to come again maybe next year.  We will recommend your place to our friends as it is a lovely holiday home you have.  Kind regards
